Video calling is an experimental feature and is offered for free to all clients using Appraisd v2 until 1 September 2020 to make it easier to continue check-ins and reviews during the COVID19 lockdown period. At the end of the trial period we'll be asking for feedback and considering if and how the feature is offered to clients beyond the trial.
Reasonable use cap
We would really like you to use this feature as much as possible, but in some cases we may need to cap usage. For the trial we envisage a reasonable use that is the equivalent of two 30 minute video check-ins per employee per month. The quota unused by one employee can be used by another for additional video check-ins.
At the end of the free period, we will get in touch to gather feedback and your thoughts on continuing the service further.
How do admins enable video calling?
Go to the Administration Centre > What's happening tab. There you will see a banner with an introductory video and instructions on how to enable this feature on your account.
Terms
We use the 3rd-party Twilio service to establish the video call. By enabling video calling in Appraisd, you are agreeing to the following:
- Twilio will be added to your list of sub-processors
- Appraisd can review usage of the service to monitor and regulate this feature
- You have the authority to make this agreement on behalf of your users
For information on how to start a video call once the feature is enabled, please see our help page on Video calling in reviews and check-ins.
