Video calling is an experimental feature and is offered for free to all clients to make it easier to continue check-ins and reviews during the Covid-19 lockdown period.
How do admins enable video calling?
Go to the Administration Centre > What's happening tab. There you will see a banner with an introductory video and instructions on how to enable this feature on your account.
We use the 3rd-party Twilio service to establish the video call. By enabling video calling in Appraisd, you are agreeing to the following:
- Twilio will be added to your list of sub-processors
- Appraisd can review usage of the service to monitor and regulate this feature
- You have the authority to make this agreement on behalf of your users

Reasonable use cap
We would really like you to use this feature as much as possible, but in some cases we may need to cap usage. We envisage a reasonable use that is the equivalent of two 30 minute video check-ins per employee per month. The quota unused by one employee can be used by another for additional video check-ins.
