Appraisd can be configured to provide Single Sign-On (SSO) with your Azure Active Directory (AD) account. You do not need a premium AD account to do this.
SSO allows your employees to log in to Appraisd without creating a new password for Appraisd. Instead, they use their existing AD login credentials.
Note: SSO is not the same as User Provisioning, which is when users are automatically added to Appraisd as they join your organisation. For user provisioning, take a look at importing users in bulk or syncing Appraisd with your HR system instead.
Prerequisites
The email address or principalname of each user in AD must match the email address stored in Appraisd
Please contact support@appraisd.com to enable SSO on your account
Once SSO has been enabled on your account, you can add the Azure Appraisd app from the marketplace.
Now follow Microsoft's tutorial.
Additional options
In Appraisd there are other options that can allow you to control the ways users log in, in case you'd like to offer both SSO and Password-login simultaneously, or restrict users to just one method of login.
You can find these options in Configuration > SAML single sign-on
For enterprise customers, it is also possible to determine these settings down to the user level to allow different parts of your organisation to log in using different means. Contact us for more details.
