If your organisation has enabled check-ins, these will be based on a 2-stage workflow. Your check-ins will have an optional self-assessment stage, following which your manager can close off the review.
Completing your optional self assessment
When completing your self-assessment, you can press the save and exit button if you would like to come back and edit or add to your answers. When you are happy with your self assessment and would like to submit your responses to your manager, you can press the Share button.
The above dialogue allows you to confirm that you would like to share your responses with your manager. Once you share your responses, they can still be changed. Any changes to your responses will be automatically visible to your manager. If you are happy with this, tick the box and click Share.
Progressing a check-in as a manager
As a manager, you can also add comments to your employee's check-in. Once you are happy with your responses and have reviewed those of your employee, you can used the Share and progress button to share your responses with them.
You can also use the Share and progress button to close off the check-in after adding your responses. As in the self assessment stage, you have the option to save and exit if you would like to amend your comments at a later date.
We advise that managers make their assessment and use the Share and progress button to close the review once they have had their in-person meeting with their team member. This allows managers and team members to agree on the review comments and gives a chance for the manager to make any changes before closing the check-in.
