You can pull insights on the individual and organisation by using the Scores and Comments report which extracts self assessment, manager and feedback responses made within reviews.
What is the scores and comments report?
You can run reports and pull insights on responses given in reviews using the Scores and comments report. The data you can pull from the system will depend on the questions in your review forms.
To access this report, go to the Administration Centre and click on the Reports tab and select Scores and comments.
The report is driven by our Filter tool, allowing you to drill down on your data via multiple criteria.
NOTE: The more custom field settings that you have set up under People fields in Configuration will effect how many reporting options you have to cut your data by. You can add and update your custom fields at anytime.
Using the Filter tool in the Scores and Comments Report
Open up the Filter, you will see that the reporting options are broken into three segments: People, Reviews and Questions. In each segment there will be a blue link to See more options, click on this to see all the ways that you can filter your data.
The People section of the Filter can be used to narrow down which people's responses you want to see and report on.
Likewise use the Reviews section to apply filters that help you identify the group of reviews that you want to focus your reporting on.
You may want to pull insights on one particular or multiple questions, you can search for the questions you would like to focus on in the Questions section of the Filter.
In addition to choosing what question/s to focus on, you may also want to use the Comment contains filter when selected questions have a set of predefined responses that can be given by a respondent.
For example you may have a multiple choice question like:
Q 'If you are open to relocation, which global office would you like to relocate to?'
A 'Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, N/A'
Comment contains: Australia
Advanced filtering
Under More question filters you can be more specific with your search criteria and choose the exact type of response you want to pull from the reviews but also the type of respondent.
Example 1.
You could focus on performance scores given by managers only, you can achieve this by applying the filters: 'Question type = Rating' and 'Responses from = Reviewer'.
Example 2.
You can search for employees that have received a particular rating or assessment, you may want to identify your top talent or lowest performers. To do this use the 'Rating is' field.
Example 3.
There is also the option to drill down on one individual and focus entirely on this one person's performance and reviews, to do this use Reviewee for Review. Don't forget you can look at multiple reviews across a period of time so that you can analyse someone's progress or change in responses depending on the questions in your form.
Exporting your filtered data and reporting insights
You may want to export your data to Excel or CSV for further manipulation or to store a hard copy for reference. To export your filtered results scroll down to the bottom of the results table and use the relevant exporting button on the right.
Clearing your filter when you are finished
The filters in Appraisd are 'sticky', so to reset your data and clear any filters after you have finished your reporting be sure to click on the pink X or when the filter tool is open click Clear filter.
